Nu-Pipe LLC in Fort Myers, FL, is hiring a CDL Vac Truck Driver/Operator to join the underground utility team. The role requires operating vacuum trucks, hydro excavation, and debris removal for rehabilitation projects, with overnight travel Sunday through Friday.

The ideal candidate holds a Class A CDL and has 3–5 years of commercial driving and vac truck experience. Safety-first mindset, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a crew are essential.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A Driver’s License required.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial driving and vac truck operation.
• Underground utility construction experience required.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently or as part of a crew.
• Strong communication skills and professional work ethic.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight (Sunday–Friday).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum trucks for hydro excavation, pipeline cleaning, and debris removal.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and routine maintenance checks.
• Assist with underground utility construction tasks on-site.
• Operate small tools and equipment (pumps, gas saws, compactors, backhoes, bobcats).
• Properly load and unload equipment and materials at job sites.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Maintain detailed logs of work performed, mileage, fuel, and equipment usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and crew members.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Vac Truck Driver/Operator to join our underground utility construction team. This role involves operating vacuum trucks to perform pipeline cleaning, hydro excavation, and debris removal in support of rehabilitation projects such as slip lining, drainage installation, and canal & lake bank restoration. The position requires a Class A CDL and overnight travel from Sunday–Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate vacuum trucks for hydro excavation, pipeline cleaning, and debris removal
