Job description

Fred Smith Company is currently seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver for our Burgaw location. We are a self-perform heavy civil contractor working in North Carolina. Pay will be commensurate with experience; all employees are eligible after 90 days for benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off.

Positions open include:

1. Dump Truck
2. Operate equipment efficiently and follow management instructions.
3. Follow all company safety policies, including actions to avoid incidents with the traveling public.
4. Maintain equipment monitoring and maintenance, and keep DOT-required logbooks.
5. For Lowboy positions, move, operate, and securely load heavy construction equipment.
6. Must have a valid Class A or B CDL license, current medical examiner's certificate, and endorsements if applicable.
