Job summary

HouseSmart Construction is seeking a safety-focused CDL Truck Driver I to support transportation, delivery, and unloading of manufactured homes in Sparta, TN. You will drive, assist with site positioning, and help ensure homes are placed safely on customer sites.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL and at least 6 months of driving experience, familiarity with DOT regulations, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 6 months of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Experience with machine operation and transporting oversized loads.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company-owned toter trucks to transport manufactured homes and oversized loads to customer home sites.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain documentation of vehicle condition, equipment, and deliveries.
• Communicate roadway conditions, route challenges, traffic hazards, and delivery updates to transportation team members.
• Lead the pickup, transportation, delivery, and onsite positioning of manufactured homes at designated customer locations.
• Maintain driver logs and all required transportation records.
• Assist with unloading activities and provide support during home placement and setup.
• Safely transport and deliver manufactured homes using specialized transportation equipment, including house tugs, platypus systems, and other equipment used in home delivery and setup operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
