Job summary

Wayne Farms in Georgia is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle and transport live poultry or poultry feed from growers to the processing facility, in a safe and compliant manner.

You must be 21+, hold a valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of verifiable driving, be able to read and write, work unsupervised, lift up to 75 lbs, endure outdoor conditions, and work nights, weekends, and long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight, etc.).
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and company policies.
• All other duties as assigned.
