Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a CDL-driven driver to load, transport, and deliver materials between company work sites. The role requires operating medium to large trucks, performing inspections, and maintaining accurate logs. A high school diploma or equivalent and strong adherence to safety procedures are essential.

The position requires ability to work outdoors, overtime, nights, and weekends as workload dictates. CDL and related experience are preferred for this intermediate-level role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Working knowledge and abilities for the position must be demonstrated.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium to large trucks to transport materials between company work sites.
• Load and unload trucks, using forklifts or other equipment as needed.
• Secure cargo for transport with rope, blocks or covers.
• Obtain proper and complete documentation prior to moving materials.
• Collect delivery instructions and verify routes and instructions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects or needed repairs.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance such as adding oil, fuel or fluids.
• Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle maintenance in compliance with regulations.
