What You'll Do:
- Champion Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA/MSHA and Vulcan standards. Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental, and other Company policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Position Truck. Position truck under cement/fly ash plant to be loaded by Terminal Operator.
- Deliver Materials. Receive written, verbal, or printed delivery tickets and follow the instructions as directed. Safely drive loaded truck to destination on delivery ticket.
- Perform Inspections. Hose connections and ensure silo/holding tank is not overfilled while monitoring air pressure. Perform pre-trip/post-trip vehicle safety inspections. Document and report vehicle condition at shift start and end. Maintain daily reports as required by DOT and Company regulations.
- Maintain Vehicle. Check all vehicle fluid levels daily, add fluids if necessary, clean the vehicle exterior, assist mechanics in repairs, change tires, and help maintain yard, plant, and office.
- Communicate. Communicate with Dispatcher/Manager via electronic device, relay information to plant manager or dispatch as appropriate.
- Drive Various Vehicles. Operate other types of vehicles such as transfer trucks, mixer trucks, sweepers, and bottom dumps.
- Additional Responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Skills You'll Need:
- Experience. 5 years experience driving Class A licensed vehicles or 3 years driving a cement tanker is required.
- Communication Skills. Ability to speak, read, and understand English; comprehend technical instructions related to products and vehicles.
- Ready to Drive. Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement, excellent driving record, and strong driving skills.
- Flexibility. Willing to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather, and tolerate loud noises.

Hourly Range: $23.25 - $32.96. This does not include bonuses or equity. Compensation depends on skills, experience, job scope, and market data.
