Position Summary for Class A Truck Driver

We are immediately seeking a qualified Class A Truck Driver who is highly detailed and enjoys the satisfaction of getting the job done right and on time. An ideal candidate is a reliable, dependable team player with experience doing route deliveries in a semi-truck.

Work Schedule

Must be available for a 5am start time. Monday-Friday. The work schedule will be discussed further at the interview stage.

Responsibilities

1. Loading and unloading merchandise with forklifts and pallet jacks.
2. Verify loads for accuracy.
3. Deliver merchandise to the destination safely and on schedule.
4. Perform pre/post-trip inspections.
5. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
6. Obey and follow traffic laws.
7. Maintain ELOG and comply with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
8. Report defects, accidents, and violations.
9. Coordinate with dispatch and customer care team on deliveries.
10. Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Customer Service, OTR Routing, OSHA, DOT.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial transportation with CDL.

Other Qualifications

• Must have a CDL (Class A) and pass physical and drug tests.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Experience in flooring industry is a plus.
• Attention to details with vendor and customer data.
• Basic computer skills for order processing and related functions.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
