Job Overview

As a Class A CDL Driver for Crescent Electric Supply Company, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and/or pickup of local goods to specified locations or job sites.

Primary Duties

• Become familiar with delivery routes and customers’ preferences.
• Perform warehouse duties when called upon, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, picking and packing orders.
• Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Complete all DOT assigned reports and paperwork daily.
• Complete annual DOT Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Clearinghouse query.
• Practice safe driving and handling of freight.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
• CDL Class A required.
• Air Brake Certification is required.
• Current DOT medical certification card and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a medical certification card.
• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year related experience and/or training, or equivalent.

Physical Demands

• Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Occasional sitting, talking/hearing.
• Use of hands/fingers often needed.
• Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device.

Vision Requirements

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
• Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
• Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
