MICA Steelworks is seeking a Truck Driver (CDL A) to perform local and regional deliveries of materials and products. The role reports to the Plant Manager and involves loading, transporting, and unloading goods while maintaining accurate delivery records.

Qualified candidates must have a CDL Class A, be at least 21, and pass a DOT-compliant background check. Local work with occasional overnight stays is typical, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a good driving record.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• No DUI convictions in last 2 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accidents in last 12 months.
• No more than 3 moving violations in 3-year period.
• Pass background check including drug screen, DOT physical, audiogram, and vision test.

Responsibilities

• Load, drive, and unload delivery trucks.
• Receive, ship, and stock materials and products.
• Secure cargo for transport and obtain receipts/signatures for deliveries.
• Complete commercial deliveries locally and regionally, including overnight routes.
• Maintain daily driver log and verify delivery instructions/routes.
• Comply with all state, federal, and company regulations.

Job Summary

The Truck Driver (CDL) is responsible for completing local and non-local deliveries of MICA Steelworks materials and products. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Experience

• High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 24 Months Of Commercial Driving Experience

3 to 5 years’ experience delivering manufacturing materials and products preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The Truck Driver (CDL) Must: Possess a Commercial Driver’s License, (CDL) Class A, with good driving record.
• Minimum 21-years-old
• No DUI convictions in last 2 years
• No more than 1 preventable accidents in the last 12-month period
• No more than 3 moving violations in 3-year period
• Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, DOT physical, audiogram, and vision test.

The Truck Driver (CDL) has responsibilities on and off site, including but not limited to:

• Loading, driving & unloading delivery trucks
• Receiving, shipping & stocking materials and products
• Securing cargo for transport
• Obtaining receipts and signatures for delivered materials and products
• Completing commercial deliveries – local and overnightReporting all equipment defects or damage, as well as, accidents and traffic violations
• Maintaining a driver’s daily log
• Verifying delivery instructions and routes
• Complying with all state, federal and company regulations
• Performing other duties in the manufacturing plant, as assigned by Plant Manager in the preparation and/or distribution of various deliveries.
