Job summary

TNT Crane & Rigging is seeking a full-time Heavy Truck Driver with a Class A CDL for the Freeport, TX area. You will transport materials across routes, perform pre/post-trip checks, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

This role requires strong English communication, safety focus, and the ability to work at height with proper PPE. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, maintaining logs, and coordinating with crane operators to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state issued Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and read reports.

Responsibilities

• Transport heavy loads within assigned routes in compliance with laws.
• Load/unload cargo and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Keep accurate logs of activities and reports.
• Provide hand signals to crane and truck operators as needed.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in safe, good working order.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents promptly.

Job Details: Job Location: Freeport - Freeport, TX 77541, Position Type: Full Time, Summary: A typical workday varies depending on the route, but all heavy truck drivers possess commercial driver’s licenses (CDL) and are responsible for efficiently and effectively transporting materials from one location to another.

Responsibilities

• Perform all your responsibilities in a safe, legal, professional, and ethical manner.
• Transport heavy loads within their assigned route or territory in compliance with rules and regulations for transporting materials
• Load and unload cargo.
• Determine whether their vehicle complies with weight and height limits on bridges and tunnels and change their plans if needed
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Take orders for new deliveries and drive long distances.
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of their activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order

Qualifications: Qualifications:

• Must have a current state issued Class A CDL Driver's License.
• 3 years of commercial driving experience

• Bending, stooping, lifting, seeing hearing, walking, ability to lift 75 lbs., twisting, crawling, climbing, squatting, kneeling, sitting and standing.
• Eyesight sufficient for operating a motor vehicle, inspection of equipment, and completion paperwork.
• Hearing sufficient for telephone contact and interpersonal communication with Customers and coworkers.
