Gioia Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking a CDL Truck Driver in Columbus for local hauling of tools, materials, and equipment. You will deliver to job sites, unload with coordination from foremen, and maintain DOT logs and trip inspections.

The role emphasizes safe driving and professional interaction with customers. Candidates should have a valid Class A CDL with a clean record and be able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, and mini excavators.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification required (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Load and secure tools, materials, or equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Haul equipment between jobsites and assist with loading/unloading.
• Deliver orders to site and unload safely with coordination from Foreman or Shop Manager.
• Maintain delivery logs, pre/post-trip inspections, and hours of service.
• Drive safely, follow traffic laws, and address jobsite hazards.
• Secure loads with chains, binders, and straps; verify clearance for oversize items.
• Assist around the shop when not driving with parts runs and washing equipment.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members.

General Description:

CDL Truck Drivers drive a company vehicle to deliver tools, building materials, and equipment from our shop or the supply house to the jobsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and secure tools, building materials, or equipment onto the delivery vehicle
• Haul equipment (skid steers, excavators, attachments) between jobsites, including safe loading and unloading
• Deliver orders to site and unload material/equipment safely and accurately with coordination from the project Foreman or Shop Manager
• Maintain delivery, service, and DOT logs, including pre/post-trip inspections and hours of service
• Drive and work safely — obey traffic laws, follow company safety requirements, and correct jobsite hazards
• Secure loads properly with chains, binders, and straps, and verify height clearance on oversize equipment
• Assistaround the shop when not driving — partsruns, washing trucks and equipment, and keeping dump beds clean
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers
• Communicate with shopforemen, dispatcher, group superintendents, and team members

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record —required
• Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
• Experience operating forklifts,skidsteers, and mini excavators
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Training/experience in equipment operation and maintenance
• Problem-solving,trouble-shooting, and maintenance-oriented reasoning skills
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. on a regular basis, as well as other physical tasks
• OSHA 10-Hour Certificationrequired— training provided
