Overview

Associated Grocers is seeking CDL Truck Drivers to join our fleet of top-notch truck drivers. Truck Drivers are responsible for safely operating fully-loaded tractor-trailer rigs and delivering merchandise to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Benefits

Pay

Starting Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour. After Six Months: $21.50 per hour. After One Year: $27.53 per hour. Sign-On Bonus: $1,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Depart the warehouse on a scheduled basis with a manifest bearing the driver’s name and a listing of stores where deliveries and/or pickups are to be made.
• Verify the seal number with an authorized store representative and, after unloading, account for shortages, mislabels or returns.
• Responsible for the unloading and accounting of returned items upon returning to the warehouse.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education And/or Experience

Qualified applicants must meet DOT qualifications, have at least 6 months of recent verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience, a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and a valid Medical Qualification Card. Drivers must also be able to routinely lift and move merchandise weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. This position requires work on weekends and holidays.
