Job summary

Jake’s Tree Service is seeking a dependable CDL Groundsman to join our tree care team in Chester, PA. This full-time role supports tree crews by performing ground operations and transporting crews and equipment to job sites, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The ideal candidate holds a valid CDL, enjoys outdoor work, and can lift 50+ pounds while adhering to DOT requirements and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL (Class A or B preferred).
• Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements.
• Experience in tree care, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Assist tree crews with ground operations during tree trimming and removal projects.
• Operate and maintain chippers, chainsaws, and other equipment safely.
• Drive and maneuver CDL-required vehicles and equipment to and from job sites.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and debris.
• Direct traffic and establish safe work zones as needed.
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
