Job summary

Select Event Group is a respected event rental company based in Laurel, MD, seeking a Transportation Driver with CDL to support our Tents, Structures and Flooring Division.

You will handle safe transportation, loading and unloading, and work with warehouse and field operations. Candidates must meet DOT requirements, be 21+, and have CDL A. The role is full-time with a competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate effectively.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of Maryland, DC and Virginia area.
• Safe driving and accident history.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices on and off the road.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection.
• Ensure cargo is loaded and secured against movement and damage.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Log and track trips as required.
• Effectively trip plans using maps, GPS, written or verbal information.
• Accurately and carefully deliver equipment.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assist with loading/unloading of cargo at times.
