Job summary

J & H Oil Company’s transport team transports fuel safely from regional terminals to retail stations and commercial sites across Michigan and Northern Indiana. Drivers are expected to operate equipment safely, load and unload shipments, and communicate with dispatch while maintaining clean, well-kept vehicles.

Required are a Class A CDL, HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements, and the ability to work nights. The role emphasizes reliability, time management, and a strong work ethic in a family-owned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of Class A driving experience preferred.
• Commercial Driver's License, Class A.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen.
• Ability to work nights.
• Reliable time management.
• Effective communication skills.
• A strong work ethic with a commitment to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment in compliance with all company policies, laws and regulations.
• Load, transport, and unload each shipment in an efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and equipment managers.
• Maintain a clean equipment interior and exterior and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Are mechanically competent and have a firm understanding of their equipment.
• Properly complete all load-related documentation in an accurate fashion.
