Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a CDL Technician to support inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and storm water pipes. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Huntington Beach, CA, requiring a Class A CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements.

Responsibilities include operating a Vac Truck, performing manual labor, and entering confined spaces as part of a crew. A pre-employment drug test, DOT physical, and background check are required; shift work may be

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience operating a Class A vehicle or Vac Truck.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required or willing to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, DOT physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Manual labor tasks (lifting, carrying, dragging or pulling material, etc.).
• Equipment driving and operation.
• Entry into manhole and underground structures.
• Pump watch and operation.
