Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Field Technician to join a fast-growing infrastructure team. The role focuses on safe, efficient sewer and storm-water maintenance tasks, equipment operation, and field inspections alongside supervision.

The position is full-time, non-exempt with typical Monday–Friday hours and possible overtime; salary starts at $20 per hour and will reflect experience, project requirements, and prevailing wage rules where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience operating a Class A CDL vehicle.
• Tanker endorsement required or willing to obtain.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, DOT physical, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manual labor tasks (lifting, carrying, dragging or pulling material, etc.).
• Equipment driving and operation.
• Entry into manhole and underground structures.
• Pump watch and operation.
• Performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks.
• Operation and maintenance of all equipment.
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.
• Load, unload, and move materials and equipment.
