Job summary

Ergon Associated Asphalt Partners, a subsidiary of Ergon, Inc., seeks a Transport Driver II for the Roanoke, VA area to ensure safe and on-time delivery of asphalt products. You will operate a tractor-trailer (tanker), inspect the truck, document weights and tickets, and comply with federal/state regulations while maintaining a professional appearance.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, fueling, reading Bills of Lading, interfacing with terminal staff, customers, vendors and regulators,

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement.
• Solid driving history and 2-3 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Ability to read and interpret weigh scales and basic measurements.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer (tanker) to transport asphalt products over short and long distances.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; report truck condition.
• Record quantities loaded/delivered and issue customer tickets; maintain logs.
