Ergon Associated Asphalt Partners, Roanoke VA location, seeks a Transport Driver II to ensure on-time, safe delivery of asphalt products. You will drive tractor-trailer (tanker), load/unload, monitor gauges, log hours, and maintain vehicle condition.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement, 2–3 years of CDL experience, and a strong safety record. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a family-owned company.

Formación

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement.
• 2-3 years of Class CDL driving experience.
• Solid work history.
• Excellent driving record.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to provide customer service-focused support.
• Able to understand weigh scales and basic measurements.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Drive tractor-trailer (tanker) to transport and deliver asphalt products over short and long distances.
• Operate equipment such as ladders, hoses, valves, and gauges as needed.
• Maneuver truck onto loading/unloading positions per terminal signals.
• Travel to weigh stations for loading documentation and route records.
• Load at filling rack and open valves or start pumps as required.
• Read gauges, record quantities loaded, and issue customer tickets.
• Comply with Federal and State driving regulations, including logs.
• Inspect truck before trips and submit reports on condition.
• Read Bill of Lading to determine assignment.
• Refuel truck and check oil/fluids; maintain interior and exterior cleanliness.
• Stand or walk for long periods in varying weather; lift up to 50-70 pounds.
• Climb ladders safely and drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
