Job summary

T. Lowell Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced CDL Side-Dump Driver / Equipment Hauler to support underground utility and civil construction operations.

This role combines operating a side-dump truck with safely transporting heavy construction equipment between jobsites, vendor locations, maintenance facilities, and our yard. The ideal candidate will be a skilled commercial driver who understands municipal utility construction pace and can operate safely around excavation sites while

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Clean driving record meeting company insurance requirements.
• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening and participate in the company’s random testing program.
• Experience operating side-dump trucks and transporting heavy construction equipment.
• Experience operating in active excavation and utility construction environments.
• Ability to safely maneuver in confined jobsites.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport aggregates and construction materials to active projects.
• Haul materials between jobsites, vendor yards, pits, quarries, and disposal facilities.
• Operate side-dump equipment safely on varied roads.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, backhoes).
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, dispatch, and project managers.
• Assist with daily equipment moves to maximize production and safety.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance reporting.
