Job summary

Cornerstone Parking Group, Inc. is seeking a CDL Shuttle Operator to provide safe, reliable transport for students, faculty, and guests on the Southern Methodist University campus during the school year.

You'll operate shuttle vehicles, follow routes and schedules, and deliver a positive rider experience with consistent stops and schedules. The role offers full-time hours, competitive pay at $21.00/hour, PTO accrual, and benefits such as medical/dental/vision after 60 days, a 401(k) plan after

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement for 26 passengers or more; required.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Health Card required.
• Ability to operate lift-accessible vehicles.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• High standard of integrity; experience in customer/public environment.
• Ability to read, write, and converse in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate shuttle vehicles according to scheduled routes and timetables.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of passengers, including those with mobility needs.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition.
• Report maintenance concerns to the Shuttle Supervisor.
• Maintain on-time route performance and communicate delays or changes.
• Provide professional, courteous service to passengers.
• Address passenger questions or complaints professionally.
• Keep accurate daily records of counts, mileage, fuel usage, and incidents.
• Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-kept shuttle vehicle.
• Complete daily reports and logs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Overview

As a CDL Shuttle Operator, you'll play an important role in delivering safe and reliable transportation for passengers on the Southern Methodist University campus, school year (August - May). You'll operate assigned shuttle vehicles, follow established routes and schedules, and ensure every rider receives a positive shuttle experience. This role offers consistent routes, shuttle stops, and schedule, with a unique opportunity to interact with a variety of students, faculty, staff, and public riders.

Shifts Available

• Monday - Friday 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM
• Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Safely operate shuttle vehicles according to scheduled routes and timetables.
• Ensure safe and courteous loading and unloading of passengers, including those with mobility needs.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Promptly report maintenance concerns or vehicle issues to the Shuttle Supervisor.
• Maintain on-time route performance and communicate any delays or route changes as needed.
• Provide professional, courteous service to all passengers and assist as needed during boarding and disembarking.
• Respond to passenger questions, concerns, or complaints with patience and professionalism.
• Keep accurate daily records of passenger counts, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
• Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-kept shuttle vehicle.
• Complete all required daily reports and logs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement of 26 passengers or more (required),
• Responsible driving record
• DOT Medical Examiner's Health Card required (company will provide for qualified applicants)
• Ability to operate lift accessible vehicles
• High School diploma or equivalent
• High standard of integrity
• Experience delivering quality service in customer/public environment
• Displays a positive attitude, flexibility, initiative and ability to communicate effectively
• Interpersonal Skills: Remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and converse in the English language
• Previous driving experience a plus
