Job summary

SP+ is seeking a CDL Shuttle Driver (DOT) in Oakland to operate shuttle buses safely, assist passengers, and maintain vehicle readiness. You will perform inspections, ensure on-time service, and help customers with directions and luggage when needed.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A/B/C with Passenger Endorsement and a DOT Medical Card. Availability for 3rd shift or weekends may be needed; tips are possible on top of the hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Education/experience requirements: less than high school or one month related experience.
• Must hold a valid CDL Class A/B/C Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
• DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate) required.
• Availability for special shifts, including 3rd shift and weekends.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate basic information.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle buses safely to transport passengers to destinations efficiently.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain bus cleanliness; log trips and assist passengers with needs.
• Be punctual, in uniform, and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Assist with belted and unbelted passenger safety and handling luggage when applicable.
• Report accidents, hazards, or policy violations to the Facility Manager.
• Know the garage areas and major routes to help customers navigate.
