Job summary

Dexter in Indiana seeks a CDL-A driver for duties including locating staged axles, preparing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and delivering products to multiple sites. The role supports efficient route planning and material handling within a safety-driven environment.

You will also audit loads for accuracy, strap loads securely to trailers, and assist in maintaining equipment. A strong safety mindset and reliability are essential for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• 3 years of flatbed driving experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Locate staged axles for loading and assist with preparing orders.
• Load and unload trucks and assist in planning routes for efficient use of time and equipment.
• Audit loads to ensure product matches the order; verify accuracy.
• Strap loads securely to trailers and ensure safe securing practices.
• Deliver product to various locations as needed and pick up raw materials for production.
• Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and notify supervisor of defects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Locating staged axles for loading
• Assisting and preparing orders for loads
• Loading and/or unloading trucks
• Auditing loads to ensure product matches the order; verify for accuracy
• Strapping loads securely to trailer
• Assisting in planning route to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment
• Delivering product to various locations
• Picking up raw material for production
• Performing routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and notify supervisor of defects or necessary repairs
• Cleaning and keeping equipment in top working order
• Performing all duties in compliance with appropriate safety and security standards

What We're Looking For

• Maintain a Class A CDL
• Three (3) years of experience driving flatbed preferred but, not required
• High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not required
