Elko Transportation Department in Elko, Nevada seeks Substitute Bus Drivers to join our school transportation team. You must hold a valid CDL and state license to operate a school bus, and you will be responsible for following all safety regulations and schedules.

This is a temporary posting with immediate starting date. You will transport students to and from routes and activities, maintain bus cleanliness and discipline, and report issues to the Transportation Director.

Qualifications

• CDL and valid state license required to drive a school bus.
• Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintains discipline on bus and reports undisciplined students to proper authorities.

Responsibilities

• Keeps assigned bus clean and follows schedule.
• Checks bus before each scheduled trip for mechanical defects.
• Transports only authorized students and on activity trips over 45 miles.
