Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Linden, NJ is seeking a CDL Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B). This role trains to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services along a defined route.

During training you will visit multiple customer sites daily, perform deliveries and pickups, and Upsell offerings while maintaining safety and compliance with DOT and EH&S guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service.
• Ability to perform physical tasks per job requirements.
• Compliance with OSHA respirator facial hair standards.

Responsibilities

• Visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Service automotive repair fleets and manufacturing type businesses.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries and pickups.
• Follow all local, state and federal compliance regulations and DOT rules.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with DOT and safety guidelines.
