Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck for collecting animal materials and grease from customer locations.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials, maintaining the vehicle, completing route tickets, and handling DOT logs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires CDL A with tanker endorsements or CDL B depending on route, a clean MVR, and the ability to work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• CDL A with tanker endorsements (route dependent) or CDL B depending on route.

Responsibilities

• Collects and inspects raw material at pickup for foreign or hazardous material.
• Maintain vehicle and ensure cleanliness; complete route tickets with customer signature.
• Maintain and operate Electronic DOT log and vehicle condition reports daily.
• Provide receipts to customers and obtain signatures; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relations with professional service.
• Attend safety meetings and perform routine vehicle safety checks.
