Job summary

ADEC INC. is seeking a Route Driver for a first shift in Goshen/Elkhart, Indiana. The role requires a CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to assist with light personal care on routes serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Shifts run from 5:30am–9:00am and 1:30pm–4:30pm. Benefits include education support and a competitive retirement program. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• CDL required upon hire with ADEC's assistance.
• Successful candidates must pass a background check and a drug test.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and assist with wheelchair lifts as needed.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and courteous transportation to individuals served.
• Communicate with clients, families, and program staff.
• Handle routes starting at 5:30am-9am and 1:30pm-4:30pm in Goshen/Elkhart.
• Record odometer readings daily and note any vehicle issues.
• Report difficult behaviors on route to program manager.
