Job summary

Clean Harbors in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Class B CDL Route Driver (Retail Technician) to provide environmental services, including collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products; recycling of bulbs, oil, oil filters, engine fluids and other materials; and on-site cleanup activities at retail sites.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with start times around 6–7 am, potential overnight travel, paid out-of-state training, and benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow all safety policies.
• Pick up, pack and transport damaged/recall goods and waste.
• Load/pack/segregate materials for shipment; drive a Box Truck or similar CDL vehicle.
• Interact with customers at each stop and complete DOT shipping documents.
• Follow site regulations and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
