Job summary

Norco, Inc in Sparks, Nevada is hiring an Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver to exchange full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones, and to deliver freight to customers on a weekly route. Responsibilities include pre-trip truck inspections, loading/unloading freight, filling invoices, taking orders when needed, and maintaining safety and procedures.

The schedule is Monday through Friday with home every night.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable city delivery experience preferred.
• No at fault accidents or DOT moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement and excellent driving record.
• Excellent driving record.
• Basic understanding of welding machines and related tools.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (writing invoices, picking up small cylinders, rolling large cylinders, pushing cylinder cart, hand trucks, steering truck, etc.).
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work safely around special hazards (lift gate, explosives).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspection of truck
• Load and unload freight and accurately fills out truck manifest
• Accurately fill out gas invoices
• Deliver freight and gas cylinders to customers
• Take basic orders from customers when needed
• Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
• Schedule is Monday through Friday and home every night
