Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a CDL Roll-Off Driver to safely operate roll-off trucks on a local Chesapeake route, collect waste from customer sites, and transport it to disposal facilities, returning home daily. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid CDL Class A or B license.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or completion of CDL school.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a roll-off truck and ancillary equipment to service customer routes.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, maintaining route documentation.
Maintain route quality standards and driving techniques for safety and efficiency.
Communicate safety hazards, mechanical issues, or service interruptions promptly to supervisors.
Comply with safety rules and wear required PPE.
Keep vehicle cab interior and exterior clean and present a professional image.
