The City of Norfolk is seeking a Refuse Collector I for the Waste Management Division. The role collects waste on an assigned residential route and maintains the assigned truck, ensuring timely pickups and proper disposal. Work hours run Tue–Fri, 7:00 am–5:30 pm, totaling 40 hours weekly.

Salary range for this department is $46,794–$51,473, with a CDL requirement and entry-level testing. Candidates should demonstrate reliability and the ability to operate and inspect heavy sanitation equipment.

Competenze

• Six months refuse collection experience or commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL Driver's License.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
