Rumpke is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers with waste and recycling collection across assigned routes. You will operate various trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain logs while delivering reliable service to our customers.

Qualified candidates will have a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Rumpke offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to repeatedly enter/exit the truck (300–500 times daily).
• Excellent driving and maneuvering skills.
• Basic knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.

Responsabilités

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Residential Rear Load Drivers are responsible for servicing customers with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. This position operates various types of trucks, and drivers will service many different routes in various areas.

Shift: 4:00AM-6:00PM M-F

5,000 Sign on Bonus

Responsibilities

• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills
• General knowledge of truck mechanics
• Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position

• Waste industry experience, a plus

Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday

• Continuously pushing/pulling a max of 75 lbs
• Frequently lifting/carrying a max of 75 lbs
• Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbs
• Continuously working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
• Continuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
• Frequently stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
• Frequently climbing and/or balancing
• Frequently sitting/standing/walking

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects

• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
• Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas
• Exposure to residential and commercial waste
• Ability to travel between offices, as required
• Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license (if applicable)
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
• Must be able to read and speak the English language

Education

• High School (preferred)
• General Education Diploma (preferred)
