Job summary

The Fargo VA Medical Center-based warehouse position supports the Logistics Service, handling receiving, storage, selection and shipping of supplies and equipment for the VA Health Care System catchment area.

Selective Placement Factor requires a current valid state driver's license or CDL where applicable. Duties include heavy lifting, operating forklifts, and rigorous physical effort in varied environments, with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Reliably perform dexterous tasks with safety awareness in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to read instructions and follow specifications for received and stored items.
• Experience handling materials and using standard warehouse practices.
• Demonstrate technical practices and work with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to safe work habits and proper procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select and ship general or specialized bulk materials and equipment.
• Assist in warehousing, distribution and receiving of supplies, goods and equipment.
• Route materials to correct locations and prepare shipping/ inventory documents.
