Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a Laborer - Driver II to support concrete delivery and site work. The role requires a valid CDL (Class A or B), DOT medical card, and 5+ years in construction labor with ready-mix operation.

You will load, transport, and pour concrete while maintaining safety and DOT compliance. You will communicate with dispatch and customers, complete tickets and logs, and assist skilled trades as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Current Medical Examiners Certificate (DOT).
• Clean driving record in compliance with DOT standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• 5+ years of experience with construction labor and operating a ready-mix truck.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction project site by removing debris and hazards.
• Load, transport, and unload concrete in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain proper slump and consistency of concrete during transit and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and site conditions.
• Load or unload materials to be used during construction.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver materials to various job sites.
• Accurately complete delivery tickets, logs, and required documentation.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.
• Operate power and hand tools.
• Assist skilled trades with their duties.
• Perform all tasks safely and efficiently.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.
