Job summary

Sunrock in Prospect Hill, NC, is hiring Ready Mix Concrete Drivers (CDL A or B) for 1st and 3rd shifts. You will operate concrete mixer trucks, deliver to a variety of sites, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT and company policies.

This position offers flexible scheduling, overtime, paid OJT training, PTO, holidays, and multiple benefit options including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or Class B CDL
• MVR check and commitment to safe driving practices
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and Job Ready Services screening
• Experience operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles preferred
• Construction trucking, Dump trucks, Roll-off trucks, Sanitation or waste management vehicles
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and construction site safety
• Ability to work long shifts, overtime, and flexible schedules based on customer demand
• Ability to lift, climb, bend, and work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck in compliance with all DOT regulations, OSHA standards, company safety policies, and traffic laws
• Deliver concrete to construction job sites while maintaining product quality and delivery schedules
• Properly mix concrete materials including cement, sand, crushed stone, water, and additives
• Read and follow delivery tickets, route instructions, mix specifications, and jobsite requirements
• Inspect truck equipment before, during, and after shifts to ensure safe operation
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, plant personnel, contractors, customers, and construction crews
• Maneuver and position truck safely at loading areas and job sites
• Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with all company procedures
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work safely in high-traffic construction zones, uneven terrain, and various weather conditions
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including overtime, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and night shifts
