Summary Of Position
Operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms or holden tanks. Work is performed under supervision and performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation of routes, and discussion of problems.
Essential Job Functions
- Safely drive service truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information in accordance with Decision Driving principles.
- Deliver and return portable restrooms, service portable restrooms, holden tanks, sinks, showers, etc., at various work sites by following the company’s servicing guidelines.
- Drain moisture trap, oil catch muffler, and maintain oil level in pump as needed.
- Empty truck at pump station as needed.
- Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc., in units being serviced.
- Clean interior and exterior of units, make repairs as needed, and add chemical solution to portable restroom units.
- Provide a distinct level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of service to customers.
- Exhibit a positive attitude toward the company, customer, and municipal goals.
- Answer questions for customers and direct them to Customer Service or Dispatch for additional information.
- Perform daily pre and post trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines; complete Safety Lane activity and DVIR daily in accordance with Waste Pro safety lane guidelines.
- Maintain a clean truck and wash exterior weekly; inspect and clean truck components such as hood, under-hood, carriage, gas and fluid levels, and air tires.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit required company and regulation‑mandated reports and documents.
- Perform other tasks as required, such as assisting other routes for completion, attending community events, or delivery of bins and/or carts.
- Be responsible for all persons working on vehicle during the designated route.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
- May be required to work during emergency situations.
