Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Pipeline Technician Trainee to perform maintenance, construction and repair on pipeline and terminal assets. The role includes heavy haul driving, supporting welders, and ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

Under supervision, you will assist with pipeline construction activities, site prep, material handling, and emergency response. A high school diploma and CDL within 6 months are required; travel 70–80% is expected.

Qualifications

• CDL required or able to obtain within 6 months.
• 1 year of pipeline terminal systems experience preferred; heavy equipment a plus.
• Knowledge of hot work safety practices and regulatory interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pipeline construction activities and testing.
• Support maintenance of assets and equipment; operate company vehicles during travel.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with safety oversight and inspections.
• Assist with welding helper duties and pipe fabrication tasks.
