CDL Parts Delivery Driver Opportunity Summary
The CDL Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for assisting customers in obtaining parts accurately and efficiently to ensure all orders scheduled are delivered safely and timely to the customer's satisfaction.
Job Duties
- Safely operate delivery van and keep a clean driving record.
- Assists customers with placing orders such as the following:
- Determines parts needed by analyzing information/description provided by the customer.
- Provides price quotes and the information requested by the customer.
- Checks parts computer for stock items and initiates special orders if necessary.
- Converts or cross references parts numbers
- Document deliveries accurately and follow processes to ensure audit rules are followed.
- Load and unload delivery van with parts identified for customers and deliver parts to customers.
- Represent W.W. Williams positively and professionally to customers and the public.
- Part Time
Work Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6+ months of equivalent combination education, training, and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
- Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance/ repair business and the ability to learn mechanical terminology.
- Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
