Job summary

Action Environmental is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate commercial vehicles and specialized cleaning equipment at customer facilities. CDL is required; duties include vacuum trucks, hydroblasting, and hydro excavation units, with travel and overtime as needed.

Employees work in industrial environments, requiring high safety standards, physical stamina, and strict adherence to DOT and EPA regulations. On-call rotation and varying weather conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• CDL required with acceptable driving record.
• Must meet DOT physical qualifications.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A or B commercial vehicles per DOT regulations.
• Transport equipment, tools, and materials to job sites.
• Operate vacuum trucks, hydroblasting, vacuum/hydro excavation units, roll-offs and related equipment.
• Perform industrial cleaning tasks: tank cleaning, hydro excavation, line flushing, high-pressure water blasting.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs and logs.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment safely.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, DOT and company safety regulations; wear PPE.
• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and cleanup.
• Communicate with supervisors, customers, and team members.
• Respond to emergency projects, including nights/weekends/holidays.
