Job description

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated CDL Mechanic/Lube Tech to join our team. The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment. This will be located at our Woodbine Quarry in Chapman, KS.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to work safely at all times.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu and Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines.
• Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience Required

Work Environment

This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
