Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a CDL Mechanic/Lube Tech to join our Woodbine Quarry team in Chapman, KS. The position focuses on performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment, troubleshooting heavy equipment, and conducting preventative maintenance to keep quarry operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo quarry equipment, and hold a CDL with a clean driving record. A trade school certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diesel-powered equipment maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Experience with troubleshooting heavy quarry equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Volvo).
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills using a wide range of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Volvo diesel engines).
• Perform rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance.
• Weld, cut, and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment.

The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.
