Job summary

PCM Services is seeking a dependable Lowboy Driver to transport materials to and from job sites across the DC/Baltimore metro area, based in Beltsville, MD. You will operate a lowboy, inspect equipment, and follow safety rules while coordinating with site managers and dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a lowboy driver or similar role.
• Knowledge of truck maintenance and operation.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with construction sites and road safety regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials if required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lowboy to transport and deliver materials as directed.
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
• Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring proper weight distribution.
• Communicate effectively with site managers, dispatchers, and other team members.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure materials are delivered in a timely and safe manner.
