Job summary

Saia is a leading logistics and transportation company seeking qualified drivers to move freight between company terminals and customer sites across a defined geographic area. The role emphasizes safe, cost-efficient delivery with strong customer service.

You will be accountable for route planning, paperwork, and upholding safety standards. Candidates must hold a valid CDL-A with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, be at least 21, and have at least one year of tractor-trailer driving

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL-A with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at various company and customer locations.
• Plans routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows established pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures.
• Conducts inspections by following established safety and quality control procedures.
• Retains and maintains records, forms, and load-related paperwork.
• Serves as the first point-of-contact for delivery-related issues.
