Job Summary

All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading at each stop as designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empties. May assist with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manage major programs and projects, providing technical, customer relations, and personnel management.
• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated times.
• Unload product from trailer, using hand or cart, and place in designated areas, in all weather conditions.
• Lift, push, or move product weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; reach up to 72” for stacking/unstacking pallets.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, handle discrepancies, and communicate errors/returns.
• Report undelivered items, handle customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

Education

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience

• One-year route delivery experience or relevant driving background.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• Ability to read and understand English.
