Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to join our team and advance with America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products. You will ensure safe deliveries from the facility to the job site and back, with the added benefit of being home every night.

This role emphasizes safety, on-time delivery, and accurate documentation, with responsibilities including load checks, customer invoicing, and possible warehouse duties. No long-haul travel is required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL - Class A or B.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (70 lb bundles of shingles).
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens required.
• Flatbed truck experience preferred.
• Trailer mounted forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site.
• Adhere to delivery schedule and follow directives.
• Document each delivery with photos using the camera phone system.
• Perform thorough load checks and ensure cargo is secured and compliant with regulations.
• Coordinate with Delivery Material Handler to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and government paperwork accurately.
• Provide customer with an invoice and collect payment on COD deliveries.
• Possibly perform warehouse tasks (loading/unloading).
• No over-the-road travel required.
