Job summary

PIPESTONE is hiring a Weaned Pig Transport Driver (CDL) to deliver pigs safely and efficiently across the region. The role emphasizes safety, animal welfare, and reliable service to producers, with teamwork across the PIPESTONE network.

The position requires a Class A CDL, clean MVR, and ability to obtain TQA certification. Overnight travel may be required, with overtime opportunities and potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR review.
• TQA Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Livestock transportation experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong commitment to safety, animal welfare, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a semi-trailer or pickup/gooseneck combination.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure equipment is road-ready.
• Load, transport, and unload weaned pigs according to industry standards.
• Maintain proper ventilation, bedding, and animal comfort during transport.
• Follow all DOT regulations, logging requirements, and biosecurity protocols.
• Wash and sanitize vehicles after each use to help prevent disease transfer.
• Work closely with producers and team members to ensure successful deliveries.
