Job summary

Flathead Valley Community College seeks a CDL Instructor to teach the Commercial Driver’s License program, including Class A, and Bus/Passenger endorsements. Courses may run day, evening, or weekend, with blended delivery methods and accompanying instructional materials.

The role requires a Montana Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements, plus potential to obtain endorsements within the first 30–90 days. The instructor will maintain records, support student outcomes, and contribute to program

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in the occupation to be taught.
• Current Montana Class A CDL with insurable license.
• Class A CDL with Bus/Passenger Endorsement or ability to obtain within 30–90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to CDL students for Class A, and Bus/Passenger endorsements.
• Develop instructional materials and use multimedia for online/blended courses.
• Maintain instructional records and daily driving log entries.
• Coordinate with Program Director for curriculum fidelity and safety checks.
• Represent FVCC professionally, aiding student recruitment and program visibility.
