Job summary

SAGE is seeking CDL training instructors to prepare the next generation of drivers. You will teach the official curriculum, supervise range and road exercises, assess student performance, and provide guidance to ensure safe, compliant driving practices.

Role emphasizes professional conduct, safety-first mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with learners. Normal shifts range from 4 to 12 hours, with benefits including medical/dental/vision and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum two years of trucking experience demonstrating instructional competency.
• Safe CDL A driving record per DOT standards.
• Knowledge of trucking laws and safety regulations.
• Ability to teach the SAGE curriculum to students.
• Professional attitude focusing on performance, safety and respect.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CDL training to students on range and on-road segments.
• Communicate instructions clearly and assess student performance.
• Guide students through maneuvers on a skills driving range and public roads.
• Coordinate and participate in shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours.
