JMF Underground Inc in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment safely as part of our directional drilling team. The role focuses on installing electrical and gas lines for local utility projects and requires adherence to safety and maintenance procedures.

You will perform routine maintenance, keep accurate paperwork, and work 8+ hours daily with overtime as needed. We offer strong growth opportunities and a supportive team environment in Central PA.

Looking for an opportunity where success comes naturally? Then you may have found your crew. We're looking for an Equipment Operator to join our team.

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front end loaders, track hoes, dozers, trenchers, loaders and other pieces of equipment. Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures. Majority of your work would be installing electrical and gas lines for local utility companies.

Here’s what you'd do:

You'd be responsible for:

• Operating heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.

• Performing daily safety and maintenance check.

• Cleaning heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required.

• Ensuring heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.

• Advising Foreman or supervisors of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.

• Participating in routine maintenance.

• Practicing workplace safety.

• Maintaining job site inventory.

• Filling out proper paperwork.

Physical demands:

• Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic

• Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (O overtime/weekend work will be required)

• Ability to work in extreme conditions - Temps below freezing and above 100 Degrees F

• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.

• Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
