Job summary

PUSH, Inc. seeks a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator (HDD) to install underground cables using HDD methods. You will operate Vermeer or Ditch Witch rigs and read prints/schematics, mentoring teammates in a safety-focused field crew.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, HDD experience around utilities, ability to travel, and teamwork. We offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid PTO, and growth opportunities with in-house CDL training.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read prints and schematics for drill planning.
• Ability to train and mentor other team members on HDD operations.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable/conduit.
• Ensure proper steering based on job notes and projections.
• Operate construction equipment to align and adjust machinery to grade specifications.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide drilling data to customers.
• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with all job aspects including basic labor tasks.
• Ensure setup and cleanup of work site, including traffic/pedestrian control.
